Dearest Friends,

Join Us annually for "Fredsotck" and and Animal Victems of Natural Catastrophe A series of benefit concerts, yogathons, & workshops, dedicated to awareness, alternatives, hope and truth about Colorectal Cancer...what we DONT KNOW that could save a life!

100% of all proceeds go to the Frederick F Ciampi III benefit. Fred was my beloved husband who fought many years longer than expected, diagnosed at 35 stage 4, but due to the business of medicine, he was cheated from nothing less than a horrific death...Learn what the hospitals WONT tell you. Come..Ejoy, celebrate..LEARN! Prevent and educate!

Due to ongoing emphasis on work with Cancer patients, and volunteer research Snow Lion Yoga is by appointment classes only at this time.

Classes welcome all levels, those new to yoga and 'yoga veterans'. Snow Lion Yoga's approach is tailored to the needs of the individual, even in a group. Not everyone can go at the same pace, so classes are taught in a style much they are in India...."it's YOUR practice, it's your pace". Careful attention is given to safe adjustment, correct alignment, proper breathing and keeping a flow to create warmth internally and not to stretch or strain a "cold body". Some postures are held, yet flow and connect together, creating a vigorous work of the body, but without punishing impact. Most vinyasa classes are a hybrid of Tri Yoga, Viniyoga, Ashtanga, and Traditional Hatha. "Yoga", translated literally, means to "Yoke" or to join.... in yoga we are joining the body, spirit (breath, prana), and mind...YOGA is "moving meditation". It is not recommended for beginners to start with pure Ashtanga classes. Choose the class that suits your schedule and activity level.

Student Guidelines (and some general good ideas for attending any yoga class)

Classes start ON TIME! We suggest you come at least 10 minutes prior to class time, to change or get ready, pay, sign in, and discuss any medical conditions with the instructor. This must be done prior to the start of class. Arriving late might compromise the class, create stress for yourself or the studio's next instructor. Wear or bring comfortable, but suitable clothing. If you are wearing a T-shirt, make sure it is not so oversized or loose that you can not see your posture....so if you are bent over ... inverted, your clothing is not obstructing your vision or your breathing passages. Bring a yoga mat, or rug, or you can rent one for $2:00 if available (supplies limited). We will have mats for sale, but there is usually a spare mat in a pinch. Bring a small towel, and if you wish, bring a leak proof water bottle to have beside your mat. New students will be given a health questionnaire to fill out. Please leave enough time before you begin your first class to complete this form or mention important health issues, injuries, or to discuss any conditions. You are responsible for informing the instructor of ANY recent injury or health concerns. Please remember this is for your health, balance and restoration. Have fun, please accept your body for what it is capable of that day. It is fine to challenge yourself, but not to punish! You are not allowed to leave the class until you have smiled....at least internally!
